Blizzard Beach
Image via Wikipedia

If you get to the top of the slides at Blizzard Beach, you get a view of the Walt Disney World property. The only thing that can be seen is any building taller than the trees. This view is toward Hollywood Studios: the Tower of Terror is in the middle of the horizon. It is very difficult to imagine you are in the middle of the “vacation capital of the world” since all you see are the tree tops!!!

Did You Know?

Covering 47 square miles, Walt Disney World Resort is about the size of San Francisco or two Manhattan islands. Of the more than 30,000 acres, less than one-fourth has been developed, with another quarter designated as a wilderness preserve.  It takes more than 54,000 cast members to create the magic here at the Vacation Kingdom. Not surprisingly, Walt Disney World Resort is the largest single-site employer in the United States.
